Introducing Cortland Runyon Music

Hey, everyone! I’d like to introduce and welcome you all to Cortland Runyon Music, the brand new website for all of my music projects. I essentially built it to be a comprehensive portfolio containing every music-related venture I’ve ever done. As a musician who has been making music for about 13 years now, the list has gotten pretty long, and so I needed a central hub for all my musical goings-on. After all, I can only manage so many websites, emails, social media profiles, YouTube channels, and everything else before I fall behind on a few things – which leads to incomplete information, contradictions, and inconsistencies across said platforms.

If you’d like to explore all my projects – big and small, old and new – look no further than the projects page. If you’d like to read my posts from the old websites or get caught up on the latest information regarding my music, check out the blog. And of course, if you need to get in touch with me, be sure to fill out the form on the contact page. If you’re at all familiar with my older websites for Northsong and Ebon Arcanum, you’ll find that I consolidated a lot of the information from them by taking out a lot of inactive links and purging unnecessary information. You may not be able to download the Orchestral Edition of Northsong’s “Winter’s Dominion” or be able to find links to every single review written for Ebon Arcanum’s “Awakening”, but everything you need to know is all here for your viewing pleasure.

Now let’s go over everything I’ve been doing for the last few months in preparation for this launch.

  • First off, all previous releases from Northsong and Ebon Arcanum have been approved for distribution across all major streaming platforms. In a few days, all my music will be available on Spotify, iTunes, and many more online platforms and stores – finally! This will also be true for all future releases.
  • The websites for Northsong and Ebon Arcanum have been discontinued and merged into CRM (Cortland Runyon Music). You can still read all the old posts on the blog!
  • Individual albums from my projects no longer have their own pages. Instead, each project has its own page with BandCamp links for each album.
  • I’ve fixed a lot of things on my YouTube channel, including the broken download links in many of my video descriptions. I also took down a few videos that aren’t necessary anymore (mostly the “preview” videos for albums that have already been out for awhile already.)
  • I had a small YouTube channel for covers of country songs that I’ve now merged with the CRM YouTube channel. Check it out!
  • Updated lots of information on my various project profiles across the web. My SoundCloud, BandCamp pages, Facebook pages, Twitter accounts and everything else now have up-to-date information and working links to other relevant sites/profiles.
  • Northsong’s Myspace profile has finally been deleted. (Does anyone even use that anymore?) The Northsong Tumblr should also be considered abandoned – the only reason I haven’t deleted it is because I’ve lost the login credentials. From now on, my individual projects will only have Facebook pages and Twitter accounts for social media, unless something better comes along. However…
  • CRM has its own Instagram account. It will be used as a catch-all Instagram for all my projects, because I doubt my three main ones will be posting enough pictures to warrant having their own accounts. Any time I post something with an image or video here on the website, it will be reposted to Instagram.
  • The Facebook pages and Twitter accounts for Northsong, Ebon Arcanum, and Shadowforge have been connected to this website, so any time there is a new post here, it will be automatically reposted to each project’s social media. News only related to a specific project will only be reposted to the appropriate project’s social media because of some behind-the-scenes tagging sorcery. Neat!
  • I signed up for Buy Me a Coffee if you’d like to make a small donation to contribute to my work.

Now check the other posts for more big announcements from ALL of my projects!
