The songs have been written for 8 years and the album has been in progress for a year, but I’m happy to finally announce that the new Northsong album, to be titled “Northern Winds & Winter Hymns”, is officially FINISHED being recorded.

After many, many improvements to the instrumentation I’ve been making during the past year, as well as completely starting over the vocal recording, I’m actually surprised I finally got it finished. There were moments were I thought I’d never get this album recorded. Over the many years these songs have already been written, I always saw this album as a distant dream. I would listen to the Guitar Pro files every once in awhile, but recording them always felt like one of those things I’d get to someday – maybe. Now that it’s nearing completion, the results are sounding promising and I can’t wait to share these songs with the rest of you.

It’s been a long wait, but it’s nearly over. The next step for me is to mix and master everything and sort out some other small things before release. Stay tuned for more news in the near future!
