After getting my new gear all set up, vocal recordings for the next Northsong album have been going really smoothly. The production sounds much clearer and cleaner than previous releases, and that’s including the more recent albums from my other projects. “Northern Winds and Winter Hymns” is shaping up to be a significant upgrade to past Northsong albums.
I have 5 out of 12 songs completely recorded and mixed, and some other songs have bits and pieces of vocals done, too. As I mentioned before, instrument recordings have already been done for some time, but as I record vocals I’ve been building on the instruments and tweaking them a bit – and in some cases, even completely redoing them. In doing so, I’m making everything work better together to get the best composition and production possible for each track.
I’m really proud of what’s been done so far and I’m loving how it sounds. I can’t wait to share it with the rest of you!
Oh, and the same goes for the other Northsong album coming after this one…. 😉
