Most of you know I’ve been working on a lot of new music during the past year – including my new project, Shadowforge. Today, I wanted to announce that the vocal recordings (and thus, all recording) for the Shadowforge EP is finished! It was – and continues to be – complicated to find time to record vocals in a suitable environment, but I managed to record vocals for the six songs that are going to be on this debut release.
The next step of course is mixing, but this is not a long and complicated process, especially when the instrumentals have already been recorded and mixed for some time. I expect to at least have a second preview track ready next week. Announcement of the EP’s release date and tracklist will come shortly after, but I’ll tell you now that I fully expect to have this EP out before the end of the year.
As for my other projects, I’m still working slowly-but-surely on them in the meantime. I had to prioritize and focus my efforts on one project rather than try to work on all three at the same time if I wanted to meet my goals. Ebon Arcanum’s “Reawakening” and Northsong’s “Northern Winds & Winter Hymns” are still on the assembly line. I want to try and finish Reawakening now that Shadowforge is finished recording, hopefully before the end of the year like I had previously announced. However, I have to say that I don’t think the new Northsong album will be out this year with only 2 months left in the year and still lots to accomplish. But it will definitely be out early-mid next year.
In any case, stay tuned for more previews and announcements regarding Shadowforge coming very soon!
