Unfortunately, my summer plans may interfere with my progress on “The Final Journey.”
Originally, I had planned on going to the UK for college, but that plan has long since faded. I then planned on just going to school in the US, though the program I intended on going through turned out to be some scam – luckily I realized this before I decided to spend my money on it. Because I had a couple failed college plans, I really don’t know where to turn. I figured I might as well take online classes for Music Production, but there were many hoops to jump through for that. Then, I was given an excellent plan that I wouldn’t have come up with if it wasn’t for my girlfriend.
This summer, on June 22nd, I am leaving the US for three whole years – maybe more – to be with her. I am moving for Venezuela, where we’ll share an apartment, while we both work at a fair paying job, and she finishes her schooling. After that, we’ll both move back to the US where I’ll begin my schooling.
Now, the reason I’m posting about this is because this three year absence from the states may or may not put a hold on the album. I doubt I’ll have to wait the whole three years to begin working on it again, but there isn’t really a way to bring all my instruments and other equipment with me in one trip. I’ll probably have to end up relying on my parents to ship all my stuff to me, which will hopefully work out. I’d be pissed if the post fucked something up and my instruments ended up in China or some crazy shit like that. There’s also all my files I have to take into consideration, but I’m pretty sure I can take my external hard drive to keep those. If not, I could always upload my stuff to a cloud storage site.
So, hopefully it won’t take too long to move all my equipment across the ocean. I’d hate to be forced to delay the album any more than a couple months.
TL;DR – Moving to Venezuela for three years, may or may not interfere with progress on the album.
